Jaguar to expand lighting business to Rs1,700 crore in upcoming years

The company is targeting Rs.8,300 crore revenue in the financial year 2026

Jaquar Group Director-Lighting, Ranbir Mehra, has stated that the company is set to enhance its lighting business revenue to Rs.1,700 crore in the forthcoming years.

The bathroom and lighting solutions provider has a portfolio, including LED, commercial, outdoor, architectural and facade lighting, and consumer lighting such as bulbs and tube lights. It plans to expand its outdoor and landscape portfolio, along with architectural indoor lighting.

Mehra, the third generation of the promoter family, remarked, "Over the next three years, we aim to scale the lighting business from Rs.1,600 crore to Rs.1,700 crore.

Jaquar Lighting contributes 8-10 percent to the Group's overall revenue. Witnessing Rs.7,493 crore turnover in Financial Year 2024-2025, the group is targeting USD 1 billion (Rs.8,300 crore) revenue in this financial year.

The director continued, "For Jaquar Lighting, we expect to close the current financial year at Rs.700 crore, with strong growth ahead.

While commenting on future investments, he said, "We have planned an investment of over Rs.100 crore for the new lighting plant at Bhiwadi."

With the rapid pace of technological upgrades in lighting, Mehra mentioned additional investments, stating, "Over the next 2-3 years, this could increase by Rs.50-60 crore.

On the company’s future expansion plans, Sandeep Shukla, Vice President & Head Marketing Communications, Jaguar Group, said, “We plan to expand our outdoor and landscape lighting portfolio, along with architectural indoor lighting. We are collaborating with new designers to develop innovative products for the range."

Discussing the Bhiwadi plant, Shukla added, "We also plan to begin manufacturing lighting poles. Outdoor lighting is becoming a key segment, driven by demand from government projects, infrastructure development, and institutional spaces.

Since Jaquar Lighting’s current international focus is the Middle East and Africa, the Vice President continued, "Around 15-16 percent of our lighting business comes from exports, primarily to the Middle East and Africa."

With rapid development across the region, particularly in Abu Dhabi, Shukla stated, "We expect this share to grow to around 20 percent in the coming years, driven by strong infrastructure expansion in markets such as the United Arab Emirates."

The Jaguar Group is also establishing a 'Jaguar World' display centre on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, UAE. It is scheduled to open this year-end.

Shukla explained, "Sheikh Zayed Road is one of the world's most prominent commercial corridors, and Dubai serves as a key sourcing hub for the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region."
