The Egyptian boutique law firm, Khodeir & Partners successfully represented one of the largest real estate developers in the MENA region in a high-value commercial arbitration against a reputed international school. The arbitral tribunal awarded the client hundreds of millions of Egyptian Pounds, along with 7% interest and full recovery of arbitration costs.

The tribunal rejected all substantive claims and defenses raised by the opposing party, including arguments relating to invalidity, hardship, currency fluctuations, and alleged conflicts with banking and education regulations, as well as Sharia law considerations.

This significant ruling reinforces the client’s contractual rights and underscores the firm’s strong arbitration capabilities in complex cross-border disputes.
