Ritika Ganju has set up a law firm Rise Legal with partners Tejas Patel, Aquib Ali, and Meera Kaura. The full-service law firm, with a principal office in New Delhi, will have a network of associate offices and counsels across the major cities of India.

While Ganju and Patel will take the lead on corporate, commercial and M&A practices of the firm, Ali and Kaura will head the dispute resolution practice.

Ganju remarked, "Rise Legal has been formed with an objective to synergize the extensive practical experience that the firm's partners have secured over years of practice. We look forward to catering to national and international clients with great zeal. Phoenix Legal was home to me for a long time and will always be close. I sincerely thank all founding partners who were my mentors and a special thanks to Manjula Chawla, who has been my guide and always inspired me to excel in my career."

Manjula Chawla, one of the founding partners of Phoenix Legal and a renowned corporate lawyer commented, "Ganju has grown into an outstanding corporate lawyer and will be missed at Phoenix. I congratulate her on the new venture and wish her all the success for the future".

Ganju specializes in corporate commercial and M&A practice and has advised multinational (including Fortune 500) clients across various business sectors. Dual-qualified to practice in India and New York, she has also served at J Sagar Associates.

Patel has expertise in corporate commercial, M&A and IBC practice. Dual-qualified to practice in India and England & Wales, he has over 15 years of experience. He has worked with corporate and transaction teams at top national and international firms including Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, BMR Legal, and Clifford Chance (United Arab Emirates).

Ali is a seasoned practitioner with 11 years of experience in civil, commercial and corporate litigation, and arbitration and mediation. He has represented multinationals and large Indian corporates on a wide array of dispute matters.

Kaura is well-known for her expertise in criminal law, mainly white-collar crimes, fraud, and anti-bribery-related investigations. She played a crucial role in advising prosecution and investigation agencies on several matters. She has been practicing independently for the last few years. Earlier, she worked with Agha & Co, a Dubai-based litigation firm.
