Eminent IP Veteran Lawyer Amarjit Singh Monga will be missed

Distinguished IP Veteran Lawyer Amarjit Singh Monga is no more. He passed away last week in Mumbai, suffering from post Covid ailments. As an IP professional, he had won several accolades, hence was a leading figure in the Global IP Fraternity.

'When the heart grieves over what is has lost, the spirit rejoices over what it has left' - Sufi Epigram rightly speaks about Amarjit who has left abundance of experience in conducting litigation for the enforcement of IPR Laws. It included pleadings draft, examination and cross-examination of witnesses and arguing before High Courts and specialized Tribunals.

Amarjit Singh Monga, a practicing Advocate, had a long 30 years of valued experience in Intellectual Property Laws. It included Trademarks, Copyright, Industrial Designs and Patents. In 1975 he joined the Bar and had been the Founder Partner of Anand & Anand, Delhi-based intellectual property law firm, for 23 years. He was the founder of the law firm, Amarjit & Associates, with offices at New Delhi, New York & Zurich.

Obtaining his degree from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, Amarjit's career graph collected many praiseworthy mileages within the first ten years of his practice. He had achieved a distinction, being the youngest lawyer, to have conducted IP associated cases in almost every state in the country. His fame stretched beyond India and reached internationally. He had conducted some of the prominent cases in United States, UK, Germany, Israel, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Egypt and Turkey.
