Asrujit has 28 years of experience in the Tax, Regulatory and Deal Advisory space and has worked with PwC India as a Tax & Regulatory Partner and with KPMG India as a Director in his earlier stints. Asrujit was the Leader for the East of India, Bangladesh and Nepal and a Tax and Regulatory Services Partner at BDO India in his last assignment and had set up the practice of the Firm in those geographies. He also had been employed with Larsen and Toubro Limited and Bharti Cellular Limited in the initial stages of his career.

Asrujit specializes in Domestic Corporate Tax, International Tax, Expatriate Tax, Regulatory and Exchange Control matters and has been involved in Interpretation of Tax Treaties, Permanent Establishment issues, EPC Structuring, Cross Border Taxation, Inbound and Outbound Investments, Exchange Control issues and Transfer Pricing Advisory and compliances at India, Bangladesh, Nepal and the UAE.

Asrujit also has extensive experience in leading and implementing Tax and Regulatory Structuring in the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax space, on Jurisdiction and Capital Structuring, structuring of Investments using multiple jurisdictions and Intermediate Holding Companies, Transaction Advisory and Financial model reviews, Group Reorganizations, Trust Structuring, Succession Planning, major Buy/ Sell side Tax and Regulatory Due Diligences and Entry and Exit strategies for large Investments in the geographies he has served.
