Bipluv Jhingan is a Principal Associate in the Mumbai office of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in the Direct Tax team and has more than 9 years of post-qualification experience. He has expertise in various aspects of direct tax, such as corporate tax, international tax, inbound and outbound M&As. His experience includes (i) evaluating tax efficient structures for acquisitions/divestments, corporate re-organization, leveraged buyouts, joint venture structuring, and succession planning; (ii) advising on various complex issues pertaining transfer pricing and international taxes; (iii) drafting and negotiating transaction documents such as share purchase agreements, offering circulars, pre-placement memorandums etc.; (iv) advising on setting up of businesses in IFSC/GIFT City, assessing permanent establishment risks and corresponding tax implications; (v) advising on foreign direct investment structuring and exit planning; (vi) advising on structuring of concession & EPC contracts. He has advised on a number of high value transactions which have received various accolades.
