AQUILAW Advised Tidings Media & Communications Private Limited In Its Acquisition Of The Leading Bengali Newspaper ‘Ei Samay’
Tidings Media & Communications Private Limited acquired the leading Bengali newspaper ‘Ei Samay’ from the Times of India Group.
AQUILAW successfully advised its client, Tidings Media & Communications Private Limited in its acquisition of the leading Bengali newspaper ‘Ei Samay’ from Bennett Coleman and Company Limited and Times Internet Limited by way of slump sale of business.
AQUILAW carried out the due diligence of the business, advised in drafting, reviewing, negotiation and finalisation of all deal related documents which included the term sheet, business transfer agreement, deed of assignment etc., and provided assistance in post-closing actions.
The transaction team advising on the matter was led by Partner Suhana Islam Murshedd, along with Principal Associate Subhashree Pani and Associates, Milind Anand and Namasvi Karia.
