The leading law firm in India, AZB & Partners advised Axis Bank’s GIFT City branch on the USD 150 million acquisition financing for the purchase of Jayhawk Fine Chemicals Corporation, a U.S.-based specialty chemical manufacturer, by Anupam Rasayan India Limited.
The structured financing was undertaken as one of the early external commercial borrowings under the newly introduced FEMA Borrowing and Lending Regulations, marking a significant development in cross-border financing structures from India’s GIFT City.
