AZB & Partners advised CapitaLand India Data Centre Fund on acquisition of stake in Indian data centre SPVs
The leading law firm in India, AZB & Partners represented CapitaLand India Data Centre Fund Pte. Ltd., a private fund based in Singapore, on its proposed acquisition of a 20.02% stake in three India-level special purpose vehicles (SPVs) holding data centre assets.
The stake is being acquired from Ascendas Property Fund (India) Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CapitaLand India Trust, a real estate investment trust (REIT) listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
The transaction forms part of CapitaLand’s broader strategy to strengthen its data centre portfolio in India, one of the fastest-growing digital infrastructure markets globally. The acquisition is expected to further enhance CapitaLand India Data Centre Fund’s footprint in the country’s rapidly expanding data centre ecosystem.
The AZB & Partners transaction team was led by Anand Shah (Senior Partner) and Shriram Shah (Partner), with support from Gokul Gopakumar (Senior Associate), Jhanvi Sangani (Associate), Yashvi Bhagat (Associate), and Karan Nair (Articled Clerk).
