AZB & Partners advised Deccan Chemicals' acquisition in Escientia
Deccan Chemicals' has acquired a controlling interest (stake in excess of 51%) in the Escientia group.
Deccan Chemicals is a privately owned globally operating company focusing on custom manufacturing of active ingredients and advanced intermediates for agro chemical, fine and specialty chemical sectors offering fully integrated contract development and manufacturing services from product development to commercial scale.
Escientia Life Sciences, LLC, Escientia Advanced Sciences Private Limited, and Escientia Biopharma Private Limited (together the "Escientia Group") is essentially involved in drug discovery, development, and commercialization process.
The AZB & Partners team involved in the transaction comprised of Patners – Ashwath Rau, Anand Shah, Atreya Bhattacharya, Vivek Bajaj, and Veena Gopalakrishnan and Senior Associate Raina Upadhyay.
