Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised investors on INR 750 crore NCD issuance by Sustainable Energy Infra Trust
The leading Indian law firm Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted as the investors’ legal counsel in relation to the issuance of senior, secured, rated, listed, redeemable, non-convertible debt securities by Sustainable Energy Infra Trust, acting through its investment manager Sustainable Energy Infra Investment Managers Private Limited.
The debt securities, each having a face value of INR 1,00,000, aggregated up to INR 750 crore and were issued in two (2) series:
- INR 375 crore (Indian Rupees Three Hundred and Seventy-Five Crores only); and
- INR 375 crore (Indian Rupees Three Hundred and Seventy-Five Crores only),
On a private placement basis to certain identified investors.
The proceeds from the issuance are proposed to be utilised for, inter alia, repayment of existing facilities availed by the Issuer and for meeting transaction-related expenses.
The transaction was led by Santosh Janakiram (Senior Partner), Subhojit Sadhu (Partner – Finance & Infrastructure, Director – CAM Middle East), and Gautam Saran (Partner), with support from Kavya Mathur (Senior Associate) and Aiyushi Mehrotra (Associate).
