Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Acted as Lenders’ Legal Counsel for USD 400 Million Cross-Border Financing to Piramal Finance Limited
The leading Indian law firm, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, acted as lenders’ legal counsel to a distinguished consortium of leading international and domestic financial institutions, comprising:
- (a) Axis Bank Limited, DIFC Branch
- (b) Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Gift City Branch
- (c) Deutsche Bank AG, Singapore Branch
- (d) Deutsche Bank AG IFSC Banking Unit (IBU)
- (e) Far Eastern International Bank Ltd.
- (f) DBS Bank Ltd., acting through its IFSC Banking Unit
(Collectively, the “Lenders”), in connection with a landmark external commercial borrowing facility of up to USD 400,000,000 (United States Dollars Four Hundred Million only)—one of the most significant cross-border financing transactions in the Indian NBFC space—extended to Piramal Finance Limited (formerly Piramal Capital & Housing Finance Limited) (“Borrower”) for on-lending purposes.
The Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas deal team was led by Subhojit Sadhu (Partner, Finance & Infrastructure; Director, CAM - Middle East), with assistance from Shubham Sharma (Associate).
