Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Ambuja Cements Limited and ACC Limited on proposed amalgamation
The leading law firm in India, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted as legal counsel to Ambuja Cements Limited (“Ambuja”) and ACC Limited (“ACC”) on the proposed amalgamation of ACC with Ambuja by way of merger (“ACC Merger”). Both Ambuja and ACC are publicly listed companies engaged in the manufacture and sale of cement and cement-related products.
The proposed ACC Merger entails the issuance of equity shares by Ambuja to ACC’s shareholders, along with the cancellation of Ambuja’s existing shareholding in ACC, resulting in a change in Ambuja’s shareholder base upon completion.
The transaction was executed under the overall strategic guidance of CAM – Cyril Shroff (Managing Partner) and L. Viswanathan (Senior Partner).
