Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised BNP Paribas on its global legal entity merger and restructuring
The leading law firm in India, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (“CAM”) advised BNP Paribas on the merger of its asset management activities—AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM), BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management (BNPP REIM), and BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM)—into a unified global legal structure owned by BNP Paribas Cardif. Post-merger, the business operates under the single brand name BNP Paribas Asset Management.
CAM assisted BNP Paribas on the India and GIFT-IFSC legs of the restructuring and provided regulatory advisory support.
The transaction was led by Akila Agrawal (Senior Partner) and Neham Tayal (Partner), with support from Nishant Tiwari, Diya Narang, and Avni Srivastava (Associates).
