Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised JP Morgan India Private Limited (JP Morgan), in relation to the Block trade by Bata (BN) B.V. in Bata India Limited.
JP Morgan acted as broker to the sale transaction aggregating to INR 669 crores (approx.).
The Capital Markets team of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised JP Morgan, the team was led by Abhinav Kumar, Partner; with support from Parth Desai, Senior Associate.
As a part of the Transaction, Bata (BN) B.V, the promoter of Bata India, undertook the sale by way of one or more share sales on the screen-based trading of BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited for an aggregate consideration of Rs 669 crores (approx.). The Transaction involved a sale of 3,600,000 equity shares of the face value of Rs. 5 each of Bata India Limited (Bata India), representing 2.80% of the paid-up equity share capital of Bata India, by Bata (BN) B.V.
Linklaters acted as a International legal counsel to JP Morgan. The Transaction was signed on 31st May, 2022 and was closed on 3rd June, 2022.
