Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Mavco Investments Private Limited on the joint venture with Avenue for acquisition of Hubergroup
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) advised Mavco Investments Private Limited on its joint venture with Avenue Capital Group (Avenue) for the acquisition of Hubergroup for a total consideration of USD 310 million. The Firm also advised Mavnu Investments Private Limited (Mavnu) on the financing aspects of the transaction.
Mavco is a private investment firm backed by select members of the Murugappa family, while Mavnu is an Indian joint venture between Mavco and Avenue, a prominent global investment fund. The Firm also assisted Mavco and Avenue in securing the Competition Commission of India’s (CCI) approval under the green channel route.
The transaction closed in April 2025.
The transaction was concluded under the guidance of L. Viswanathan (Senior Partner). The financing aspects were led by Pranav Sharma (Partner), with support from Garima Shahani (Partner), Aditi Bagri (Director – Banking & Finance), Prerna Sachdeva (Senior Associate), Oshin Malpani (Associate), and Hetav Dave (Associate).
The equity and joint venture aspects were led by Dhruv Singhal (Partner), supported by Aparna Menon (Senior Associate), Shivangini Singh (Associate), and Bhavya Arya (Associate).
The CCI approval process was led by Vijay Pratap Singh Chauhan (Partner), with support from Rajat Sharma (Senior Associate) and Samridh Sinha (Associate).
Aviral Sahai (Partner), with support from Palak Singh (Associate), assisted on other aspects of the transaction.
