Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Advised Tata Electronics on Obtaining CCI Approval for Acquisition of Majority Shareholding of Pegatron India
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (“CAM”) advised Tata Electronics Private Limited (“TEPL”) in obtaining the Competition Commission of India’s (“CCI”) approval for its acquisition of majority shareholding of Pegatron Technology India Private Limited (“Pegatron India”), and other connected steps.
This follows TEPL’s acquisition of Wistron’s India operations (based in Narsapura, Karnataka) less than a year ago in March 2024. CAM has advised TEPL on the competition aspects of both transactions.
The transaction was led by Dhruv Rajain, Partner; with support from Aaditya Ranbir Sahgal,Senior Associate, Vanya Agarwal, Associate, and Vrinda Gundam, Associate. The transaction was signed on 23rd September 2024 and closed on 24th January 2025.
