The leading law firm in India, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Uber Technologies, Inc. on its investment in Carrum Mobility Solutions Private Limited (“Carrum”) through its wholly owned indirect subsidiary, Uber India Systems Private Limited (“Uber”). The investment is proposed to be made in two tranches.
Founded in 2024, Carrum is one of India’s fastest-growing fleet-tech companies, operating a fleet of electric vehicle (EV) and CNG vehicles across multiple metropolitan cities in India.
The Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas transaction team was led by Ravindra Bandhakavi (Senior Partner) and Anandita Kaushik (Partner), with support from Akshat Parmar (Principal Associate), Shreya Shenolikar (Senior Associate), Ketan Jain (Associate), Mahima Nair (Associate), Aeruva Akash (Associate), Saumya Rai (Associate), Manav (Associate), Anhad Mehta (Associate), Induja Sharma (Associate), and Srilagna Dash (Associate).
The competition law analysis was advised by Vijay Pratap Singh Chauhan (Partner), with support from Rajat Sharma (Senior Associate) and Kashish Gupta (Associate).
