Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Advises Gentari Renewables To Acquire 1.6 GW Renewable Energy Portfolio Of Brookfield
The transaction has been organized in two phases
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has advised Gentari Renewables India Pte Ltd (a Petronas Group company) to acquire 1.6 GW renewable energy portfolio of Brookfield Asset Management in India.
The law firm counseled on legal aspects of due diligence and investment.
Structured in two phases, the first phase transaction, which was completed, comprised the sale of 1 GW of operating assets.
The Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas team was led by Ajay Sawhney, Partner (Head - Northern Region) and Aditi Misra, Partner. They were supported by Aditya Prakash, Principal Associate.
The corporate diligence team included Sreetama Sen, Partner; with support from Nooreen Haider, Principal Associate; Bhadra Nair, Senior Associate; Poorva Bhatia, Associate; Aakash Rao, Associate; and Soumya Gupta, Associate.
The employment team comprised Ankita Ray, Partner. She was supported by Faiza Khan, Senior Associate; Rachita Shah, Associate and Sonam Ambastha, Associate.
The projects, finance and permits aspects were looked into by Ajay Sawhney, Partner (Head - Northern Region); Aditi Misra, Partner; with support from Aditya Prakash, Principal Associate; Bonny Singh, PA–Designate; Pulkit Zamindar, Associate; Aishik Majumder, Associate; Tushmi Udyalak, Associate; Anoushka Chauhan, Associate; and Bhavya Kansara, Associate.
The regulatory framework was taken care of by Vishal Binod, Partner.
