Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Successfully Represented Coinswitch In A Domain Name Dispute Concerning An Impugned Domain Before The WIPO UDRP Panel
Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas successfully represented Coinswitch in a domain name dispute concerning an impugned domain before the WIPO UDRP Panel
The leading law firm in India, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas successfully represented Coinswitch in a domain name dispute concerning an impugned domain before the WIPO UDRP Panel.
The WIPO UDRP Panel held that the Respondent’s use of the impugned domain satisfied all three requisite criteria:
- (a) The domain name was identical or confusingly similar to the Complainant’s trademark;
- (b) The Respondent had no rights or legitimate interests in the domain name; and
- (c) The domain name was registered and used in bad faith.
Based on these findings, the WIPO UDRP Panel ordered the transfer of the impugned domain to Coinswitch.
The Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas team was led by Pallavi Rao (Partner), with support from Shrish Gautam (Senior Associate) and Mainak Mukherjee (Associate).
