The leading law firm in India, DMD Advocates advised Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH (MR), a Germany-based engineering group, on legal due diligence and transaction documentation in relation to its acquisition of an equity stake in KVTEK Power Systems Private Limited, an India-based manufacturer of power transformers, distribution and instrument transformers, high-voltage cables, and switchgear.
The transaction strengthens MR’s position in the high-voltage testing and measurement segment and supports the strategic expansion of its subsidiary, HIGHVOLT Prüftechnik Dresden GmbH, which operates in the same technology domain.
Through this acquisition, MR aims to enhance its technological capabilities and expand its footprint in the Indian market, reinforcing its long-term growth strategy in the energy and power infrastructure sector.
The DMD Advocates team advised on the legal due diligence process, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, and provided strategic legal support throughout the execution of the transaction.
