Dr. Vivek Mittal who headed the Legal department in Lupin Limited has now moved out of the company as of 21st September, 2017 and has joined Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR) as ‘Regional Counsel – METAI Region (Middle East, Turkey, Africa and India) – Diagnostics Platform’ as of 22nd September, 2017.
The Danaher Corporation is an American company with its headquarters in Washington, D.C., United States. Its products are concentrated in the fields of design, manufacturing, and marketing of industrial and consumer products. It operates in four segments: Test & Measurement, Dental, Environmental, and Life Science & Diagnostics.
Dr. Vivek will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, direction and assistance in connection with various legal, regulatory, compliance and business matters in the Middle East, Turkey, Africa and India for the Danaher Diagnostics Platform. He will be based in Mumbai, India.
Earlier, Dr. Vivek Mittal has served in Lupin Limited as head of legal since 2009 and has offered key strategic guidance throughout. Spearheading the company's legal affairs and related process framework globally, his activities included M&A, strategic alliances, in-licensing and partnerships, contracts, litigation risk mitigation and intellectual property rights management. He is credited with having successfully reorganized and bolstered the legal services group by setting up and centralizing legal affairs for the company.
