Fairfax India Holdings Mauritius Investments Ltd has agreed to purchase a 51% stake in Saurashtra Freight Private Limited for around Rs. 200 crore.
AZB & Partners advised Fairfax India on the deal. The team included Partners Ashwin Ramanathan and Rishi Gautam, as well as Senior Associate Medha Marathe.
Whereas, Rajani Associates advised Saurashtra Freight.
According to reports, Saurashtra Infra runs the largest container freight station at Mundra Port in Gujarat. The station provides services such as moving of containers to and from the port, stuffing and de-stuffing of containers, cargo storage and transportation of cargo to the end customer, and storage, maintenance and repair of empty containers.
