Khaitan & Co advised Barclays Bank Plc and other arrangers on offshore financing of USD 530 million availed by Twin Star Holdings Ltd

Khaitan & Co advised Barclays Bank PLC, First Abu Dhabi Bank PJSC, Mashreqbank PSC, Deutsche Bank AG (Singapore Branch), and Standard Chartered Bank (together, the Arrangers), and Madison Pacific Trust Limited (acting as the Agent), in relation to an offshore financing facility of USD 530 million availed by Twin Star Holdings Ltd (“Borrower”), an offshore subsidiary of Vedanta Resources Limited.

The facility is guaranteed by Vedanta Resources Limited and Welter Trading Limited, with the proceeds proposed to be used towards, inter alia, refinancing existing debt of the Vedanta group, transaction expenses, and general corporate purposes.
