Khaitan & Co Advised ChrysCapital On Landmark USD 2.2 Billion Fundraise
Khaitan & Co advised ChrysCapital on landmark USD 2.2 billion fundraise
The leading law firm Khaitan & Co acted as sole legal counsel to ChrysCapital Advisors LLP in connection with the setup, regulatory approvals, and negotiations with key Indian institutional investors and large family offices for their investments in the Indian sleeve of ChrysCapital X. The firm provided comprehensive, end-to-end legal support through to closing of the transactions. Khaitan & Co also served as sole Indian legal counsel for the setup of the offshore sleeve of ChrysCapital X.
ChrysCapital X has secured commitments of USD 2.2 billion, making it the largest private equity fund ever raised by an Indian private equity firm. The fund raised capital from a diverse global investor base, including public pension funds, insurance companies, asset management firms, family offices, and other institutional investors from Japan, the Middle East, South-East Asia, Europe, and the US. For the first time, the fund also raised capital from Indian investors. Sector-agnostic in approach, ChrysCapital X aims to invest across healthcare, manufacturing, new economy, financial services, and enterprise technology sectors.
The Khaitan & Co transaction team consisted of Siddharth Shah (Senior Partner), Sahil Shah (Partner), Aditya Tandon (Senior Associate), and Athul Kumar (Associate).
