Khaitan & Co Advised CK Birla Healthcare On Acquisition Of Majority Stake In Asian Reproductive Medicine Centre And Thrissur Repro Health Care
Khaitan & Co advised CK Birla Healthcare (Birla Fertility & IVF) on the acquisition of majority stake in Asian Reproductive Medicine Centre and Thrissur Repro Health Care.
The acquisition, facilitated through a combination of primary subscription and secondary purchase, strategically broadens Birla Fertility & IVF's presence across key regions in southern India, particularly Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. As part of this transaction, Birla Fertility & IVF now holds an 86% stake in ARMC IVF, a well-established chain of fertility centers based in Kerala.
Birla Fertility & IVF operates 30 centers across 27 cities in 15 states. Following the recent acquisition, the company's network will expand to encompass 37 centers in 31 cities, solidifying its position as a leading player in the fertility healthcare sector.
The deal team at Khaitan & Co was led by Partners Kapish Mandhyan, Shourya Sengupta, Principal Associate Sneh Lata and Senior Associate Tanya Singh Shah with assistance from Partner Aditi Sharma (Art law), Partner Deepak Kumar (Employment), Partner Nirupam Lodha (Intellectual Property) and Partner Supratim Chakraborty (Data Privacy).
