Khaitan & Co Advised Hines Group on Acquisition of Development Rights in Powai

Khaitan & Co advised and represented Hines Group, through its group company Powai Lake Residential Private Limited, in relation to the acquisition of development rights for approximately 3.4 acres of land located at Chandivali, Powai. The land will be developed into a mixed-use asset.

The transaction involved the acquisition of development rights as well as the release and reconveyance of an existing mortgage created by the erstwhile developer, adding further complexity to the legal structure and execution of the deal.
