Khaitan & Co Advised IFB Agro Industries On Acquisition Of Cargill India’s Shrimp And Fish Feed Business
Of late, there has been a concern about the slump in sales
Khaitan & Co has advised IFB Agro Industries Limited on the proposed acquisition of Cargill India Private Limited’s entire commercial compound shrimp feed and freshwater fish feed business in its manufacturing facilities at Vijayawada and Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh.
The deal is subject to the terms of the definitive agreements.
The law firm dealt with drafting, negotiating, finalising and executing the business transfer agreement, transition services agreement and intellectual property assignment agreement. It assisted and advised on all execution-related formalities.
The core transaction team of Khaitan & Co comprised Kartick Maheshwari (Partner), Shourya Sengupta (Partner), Sruti Baid (Principal Associate) and Pavitra Khaitan (Associate).
Intellectual Property matters were handled by Nirupam Lodha (Partner), Shivangi Narang (Principal Associate) and Rebecca Cardoso (Associate).
