The leading law firm in India, Khaitan & Co advised Kaynes Semicon Private Limited on the execution of a fiscal support agreement with the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), pursuant to which the Government of India has agreed to extend fiscal support for the setting up of an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, Gujarat.
The fiscal support marks a significant step in India’s efforts to strengthen its position in the global semiconductor ecosystem and boost domestic manufacturing capabilities in the sector.
Khaitan & Co assisted the client in reviewing, revising, and negotiating the fiscal support agreement, along with advising on financing and intellectual property aspects forming part of the overall transaction.
