International service provider of diagnostic and related healthcare tests acquires Suburban Diagnostics
Law firms L&L Partners and Phoenix Legal have acted on Dr. Lal Path Labs' (LPL) acquisition of Suburban Diagnostics (SD).
LPL has acquired 100 per cent of the equity share capital of SD. The deal value is Rs.9,250 million-plus certain performance linked payments capped at Rs.2,250 million, subject to certain adjustments.
L&L Partners acted for LPL and senior partner H.S. 'Bobby' Chandhoke led the team comprising partners Shonali Choudhry and Jay Parikh; managing associate Varun Kumar; senior associate Ayushi Toshniwal and associates Utkarsh Roy and Anirudh Singh.
The intellectual property rights (IPR) laws team was led by partner designate Subhash Bhutoria and associate Trushita Mehra. Partners Abdullah Hussain and Rudresh Singh advised on the aspects of the competition laws.
Phoenix Legal acted for Suburban Diagnostics, with partners Sawant Singh and Khadija Khalil leading the team.
While LPL is among the few Indian laboratories accredited by the College of American Pathologists, SD has a strong presence in Western India.
