Luthra & Luthra Law Offices (L&L) advised on the initial public offering and listing in the United States of Azure Power Global (the Mauritius based holding company of Azure Power India). The shares were listed on the NYSE and the public issue, together with a concurrent private placement to a wholly owned subsidiary of Caisse de de´poˆt etplacement du Que´bec or CDPQ, aggregated to US$ 136.36 million.
L&L acted as legal counsel to the underwriters, Barclays, Credit Suisse and Roth Capital, on all aspects of Indian law in relation to the initial public offer, including in relation to the transfer of Indian assets to the offshore entity and other aspects of structuring the transaction.
The transaction team was led by Partner- Vishal Yaduvanshi.
