L&L is pleased to announce that Bharat Chugh, who was posted as Metropolitan Magistrate (Dwarka) until recently, has joined the firm as a Counsel.
Having graduated in law from the Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia in 2011, Bharat has independently practiced law for two years, before taking the Delhi Judicial Service exam, wherein he secured first rank in all three successive stages of the exam.
Bharat took the oath of office as a Civil Judge/Metropolitan Magistrate in 2013 as the youngest in his batch. Since then, he has presided over independent courts and developed a keen practical insight and strong conceptual grounding in criminal and civil litigation. He has trained at the Delhi Judicial Academy for a year and has worked with judges across jurisdictions. He has also trained at the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal, with judicial officers from across the country. He has worked to create a Ready Referencer for Magistrates in Central District, Delhi. He has taken training in “Forensic Sciences” at the LNJN Institute of Criminology and Forensic Sciences, Delhi, and in “Cyber Law, Electronic Evidence and Cyber Crime” at the National Police Academy, Hyderabad.
