Prosus invests in Urban Company with the assistance of AZB & Partners
UrbanClap Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. (Urban Company) has raised approximately USD 190 million in the series F funding round from a group of investors led by Prosus N.V.
The transaction values UrbanClap Technologies at an estimated USD 2 billion. The investors participating in the funding round included Steadview Capital Management LLC, DF International Group, Tiger Global Management, LLC, Vy Capital and Wellington Management Company LLP.
Founded in Nov 2014 by Abhiraj Bhal, Varun Khaitan and Raghav Chandra, Urban Company (formerly UrbanClap) is India's largest home services company.
Prosus Ventures (formerly Naspers Ventures) is the venture investing arm of Prosus - a global consumer internet group and large global technology investor. AZB & Partners advised Prosus in the deal.
Vaidhyanadhan Iyer (Partner) and Jeet Chaudhuri (Senior Associate) were involved in the transaction.
