Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. advised LG Electronics India Limited on ₹11,607 crore IPO
The leading law firm in India, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM), acted as Indian legal counsel to LG Electronics India Limited on its initial public offering aggregating to ₹11,607 crore, through an offer for sale by the Promoter Selling Shareholder, LG Electronics Inc..
This is the fifth-largest private sector IPO in India (of which SAM has advised on three as issuer counsel) and the first-ever IPO in India to cross the ₹4 lakh crore mark in subscription.
The transaction team was led by Sayantan Dutta (Partner) and Devi Prasad Patel (Partner), with assistance from Romit Raja Srivastava (Principal Associate), Divya Dhawan (Associate), and Aryan Singh (Associate). Prashant Gupta (National Practice Head, Capital Markets) also provided strategic inputs on the transaction.
The Capital Markets team was supported by Shruti Kinra (Partner), Rohan Sharda (Partner), and Mragank Shukla (Senior Associate) from the General Corporate team on certain IPO preparatory issues, and by Gouri Puri (Partner) on taxation-related aspects.
