Trilegal Advised Mahindra Lifespace On INR 15 Billion Rights Issue Of Equity Shares
Trilegal Advised Mahindra Lifespace on INR 15 Billion Rights Issue of Equity Shares
Trilegal advised Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited (“Mahindra Lifespace”) on its rights issue of equity shares aggregating to INR 15,000 million.
Mahindra Lifespace, a leading pan-India real estate developer and part of the Mahindra Group, intends to use the proceeds from the issue to repay loans. This transaction marks one of the first rights issues launched under SEBI’s revised rights issue framework, which brought significant changes to the regulatory landscape. The deal set important market precedents and required a comprehensive approach to navigate newly introduced compliance requirements, making it a landmark transaction in India’s evolving capital markets regime.
The Trilegal Capital Markets team was led by Richa Choudhary (Partner), with support from Avanti Kale and Maitreya Rajurkar (Counsels); Sanya Chaudhari, Aayush Khandelwal, and Shivayana Balodia (Senior Associates); and Siddhant Mishra, Kartikeya Anshu, and Yatin Shikarpuri (Associates).
