Trilegal Advised SUN Mobility On Fundraise Led By Helios Climate And PIDG
Trilegal advised SUN Mobility on fundraise led by Helios Climate and PIDG
The leading Indian law firm Trilegal advised SUN Mobility, a global leader in energy infrastructure and battery swapping solutions for electric vehicles, on its latest fundraise led by Helios Climate, in partnership with the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG).
SUN Mobility operates a network of over 900 battery swapping stations, supporting a fleet of more than 50,000 electric vehicles. Its interoperable battery technology—designed and manufactured in India—caters to two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and heavy electric vehicles in partnership with multiple global OEMs.
With this investment, SUN Mobility has cumulatively raised approximately USD 135 million over the past year. The new capital will power the launch of its Africa operations, establishing the continent’s largest battery swapping network, and also accelerate SUNM’s growth in India. The investment is expected to strengthen the e-mobility supply chain across Africa and South-East Asia, contributing significantly to emission reduction and cleaner air.
Trilegal advised SUN Mobility on all legal aspects of the transaction, including deal structuring, documentation, and closing assistance.
The Trilegal team was led by Yogesh Singh, Kabeer Mathur, Jyotsna Jayaram, and Swarnima (Partners), and supported by Rangam Sharma (Counsel); Chinmay Bilgi, Akanksha Ravi, Swetha Sethuraman, Ushashi Nan, and Madhav Thampi (Senior Associates); and Praduta Singh and Rajdeep Mukherjee (Associates).
