Ipshita Sen is a Partner of Gagrats, Mumbai. She earned a Bachelor of Legal Science and an LLB from Government Law College, Bombay University. She then did her Masters in Law from Bombay University.

Ipshita is admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Bombay and she is a Member of the Bombay Bar Association and the Supreme Court of India Bar Association.

Her practise areas cover corporate, securities, commercial, IPR, competition and tax litigation. She also handles Domestic and International arbitrations, and has been involved in several high profile arbitrations. She has represented leading corporates in corporate disputes, before The National Company Law Tribunal, The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal and various Courts.

Ipshita has also represented leading corporates and their promoters in Securities Law matters before the Securities and Exchange Board of India, the Securities Appellate Tribunal and the Courts. She has experience in restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy matters before a range of courts and tribunals and has represented leading corporations in contentious IPR related disputes across varied sectors.

For her work, the Firm has been the recipient of several Dispute Resolution Awards including more recently in 2024 and 2023.

Ipshita’s work has been internationally recognized - she is listed in international publications including Legal 500 and has been involved in deals for which the Firm has received awards and recognition.
