Government notifies appointment of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh as Chief Justice of Tripura High Court
Supreme Court Collegium recommended his name in February following the retirement of Justice Jaswant Singh
The Central government has notified the appointment of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh as Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court.
Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju informed about the appointment from his official Twitter handle. The tweet read, “As per the relevant provisions under the Constitution of India, the President of India has appointed Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, the judge of Jharkhand High Court, as the Chief Justice of Tripura High Court.”
In February, the Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the appointment of Justice Aparesh Kumar following the retirement of Justice Jaswant Singh.
