Justice Ahanthem Bimol Singh is now a permanent judge of the Manipur High Court

The court presently has a vacant position for a judge

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of Justice Ahanthem Bimol Singh, an additional judge of the Manipur High Court as a permanent judge of the court.

The decision to this effect was taken pursuant to a meeting of the Supreme Court Collegium.

The Manipur High Court presently has a sanctioned strength of five judges, while four judges have been appointed.

In February 2020, the Collegium had recommended the appointment of Justice Singh as the additional judge of the Manipur High Court and he took the oath a month later.
