Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava Elevated to Permanent Judge of Jharkhand High Court
The Indian government confirmed the appointment of additional judge Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava as a permanent judge of the Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday.
"In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava, Additional Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand, to be a Judge of that High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office," a notification to this effect published by the Ministry of Law and Justice said.
On January 18, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended Justice Srivastava for a permanent judgeship in the Jharkhand High Court, finding him "fit and suitable" for appointment to the post.
