Khaitan & Co Successfully Represented Raymond Lifestyle Limited In A Trademark And Copyright Infringement Case Against Ex-Franchisee In Hyderabad
The Leading Law firm im India, Khaitan & Co successfully represented Raymond Lifestyle Limited (Plaintiff) in a suit for infringement of trademark, copyright, and passing off against its former franchisees in Hyderabad before the Bombay High Court.
The case pertained to Raymond’s well-known house mark and corporate name “Raymond”, along with its stylized artistic representations/works. The Defendants were found to be unauthorisedly using the mark “RAYMOND” in a similar stylized representation as that of the Plaintiff.
The Khaitan & Co team obtained an urgent ex-parte ad interim order against the Defendants. Additionally, a Court Receiver was appointed and successfully conducted a search and seizure of the infringing products from the Defendants’ premises.
The team further secured urgent ad-interim protection for the trademark and copyrights subsisting in the client’s marks, works, and corporate name.
