The Arbitral Tribunal rejected 100% of the claims made by Markolines and awarded substantial legal and arbitration costs to Western MP.
Background of the Dispute
The dispute arose due to the termination of the contract by Western MP with Markolines for the maintenance of the four-laning project of the Lebad to Jaora Road Project in Madhya Pradesh. Following the termination, Markolines challenged the action and claimed damages for loss of profit, loss of profitability, and other costs.
