Anand, a Fulbright Scholar, has over 20 years of extensive experience in General Corporate, Projects, Technology and Dispute Resolution. He has substantial exposure in technology, data privacy and data protection laws, strategic alliances, intellectual property, deal structuring, advisory and negotiation, commercial contracts, export control regulations, employment law and policy advisory.

Anand has, in his previous capacity as the General Counsel and Board Member of Cognizant Technology Solutions Asia Pacific, (a Fortune 500 company) managed multiple practice areas and portfolios, been at the forefront of dispute resolutions, negotiations and closure of complex, multi-million dollar technology deals, and advised internal stakeholders on risk minimisation, business practices and business development. Anand has been consistently hailed as a trusted legal advisor, with a sound knowledge of law and legal policy. He has also advised on APAC client services contracts, employment and labour law, litigation, real estate, enterprise-wide intellectual property and partnerships and alliances, procurement, data privacy and protection, corporate governance and compliance matters.

He was the Founder Partner and Head for Shardul Amarchand’s Chennai office from 2016 till August 2021. In 2017, he was recognised as "Technology Lawyer of the Year" by the Indian National Bar Association. He has been successively recognized as a leading practitioner by Legal 500, Chambers and Asian Legal Business.
