ADSERO – Ragy Soliman & Partners advised the Ministry of Finance (Egypt) on USD 1.5 billion dual-tranche sovereign sukuk issuance
ADSERO – Ragy Soliman & Partners, a full-service Egyptian law firm with global reach, advised the Ministry of Finance, Egypt (MOF) on its USD 1.5 billion dual-tranche sovereign sukuk issuance, comprising tenors of three and seven years.
This landmark issuance marks Egypt’s third-ever sovereign sukuk and the first international issuance of the current fiscal year.
The ADSERO – Ragy Soliman & Partners team was led by Hossam Gramon (Partner and Head of Banking and Finance), with support from Karima Seyam (Senior Associate), and Junior Associates Nour Osama, Malak Zaki, Mostafa Khaled Serry, and Nour El Kholy.
HSBC, Citibank, Dubai Islamic Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt acted as joint lead managers and bookrunners for the issuance.
Linklaters acted as International Counsel to the banks, while Zaki Hashem & Partners advised as Local Counsel, with a team led by Ragia Omran (Partner), supported by Khalid Al Melegi (Senior Associate), Iten Osama (Associate), and Youssef Hendy (Associate).
