Baker McKenzie advised Jefferies on the listing of VPS Securities JSC on Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange
The Global Law firm, Baker McKenzie acted as Vietnamese and international counsel to Jefferies, the Sole Global Coordinator, in connection with the listing of VPS Securities JSC on Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HSX).
The transaction involved a concurrent private placement to international investors, including Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) in the United States pursuant to Rule 144A. This marks the first HSX listing with a significant international offering since 2018.
The Baker McKenzie cross-border transaction team advised on Vietnamese and international legal aspects of the IPO, the HSX listing, and the private placement. The team was led by Alexander Stathopoulos (Principal, Singapore Capital Markets), together with Chris Milliken (Partner, Vietnam M&A) and Thanh Le (Partner, Vietnam M&A).
