Bowmans Advised Globeleq And Africa Rainbow Energy On Africa’s Largest Standalone Battery Storage Project

Bowmans advised Globeleq and Africa Rainbow Energy on a landmark infrastructure and energy transaction involving Africa’s largest standalone battery storage project, located near Upington in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa.

The project is set to significantly enhance South Africa’s grid infrastructure and support the country’s energy transition efforts. The development is expected to generate around 250 jobs during construction and 80 jobs during the operational phase, contributing to local employment and energy resilience.
