Christopher & Lee Ong advised BRC Asia Limited on acquisition of 55% stake in Southern Steel Mesh Sdn. Bhd.

The Malaysian firm with a regional focus, Christopher & Lee Ong acted as legal counsel to BRC Asia Limited (BRC) in connection with its acquisition of a 55% stake in Southern Steel Mesh Sdn. Bhd. (SSM), an industry-leading manufacturer of steel wire mesh, concrete wires, and cut-and-bend rebars.

BRC is listed on the SGX Mainboard, while the vendor, Southern Steel Berhad, is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. The acquisition marks a key milestone in BRC’s Southeast Asia expansion strategy, enabling it to leverage SSM’s established market position in Malaysia and further strengthen its regional footprint.
