Eversheds Sutherland, working closely with King & Wood Mallesons (China), has advised Jiujiang Defu Technology Co., Ltd. on its acquisition of Circuit Foil Luxembourg (CFL), a leading European manufacturer in the high-end copper foil sector. CFL operates across Luxembourg, China, Hong Kong SAR, the United States, and Canada.

The transaction marks a significant step in Defu’s strategic growth, strengthening its position in the global electronic information market and reinforcing its leadership in the high-performance IT copper foil segment. With this acquisition, Defu aims to become the world’s top producer of electrolytic copper foil.
