Eversheds Sutherland advised Sherry FitzGerald on proposed acquisition of Knight Frank Ireland
The global law firm Eversheds Sutherland has advised Sherry FitzGerald, Ireland’s largest residential property and advisory firm, on its proposed acquisition of Knight Frank Ireland, the country’s leading commercial real estate advisor. The transaction marks a significant strategic move, reflecting Sherry FitzGerald’s ambition to expand its footprint across both residential and commercial sectors. Once completed, the deal will represent one of the most notable developments in the Irish property market this year.
Mary Kiely (Partner, Eversheds Sutherland) said: “It has been a privilege to advise Sherry FitzGerald on this landmark transaction. I’m proud of our team who pulled out all the stops to successfully navigate what was a complex transaction with technical precision and a commercial mindset.”
The Eversheds Sutherland team was led by Mary Kiely (Partner, M&A), supported by Vanessa Lawlor (Senior Associate, M&A) and Kiain Fleming (Associate, M&A). The broader team advising on specialist elements of the deal included David McKeating (Partner, Pensions), Claire Morgan (Partner, Competition Law), Aoife Uí Mhaoilmhichíl (Of Counsel, Real Estate), Laura Ellen Ford (Senior Associate, Tax), Daniel Jackson (Senior Associate, DP/IP/IT), Claire Reihill (Associate, Employment), and Nicole Woo (Associate, Competition).
