Kirkland & Ellis advised Blue Owl on a $15 billion AI data center development joint venture
Kirkland & Ellis has advised Blue Owl on the closing of the second phase of a $15 billion joint venture with Crusoe Energy Systems to fund the development of a 1.2-gigawatt AI data center campus in Abilene, Texas. The development will include eight buildings with a total of 32 data halls, along with 300 MW of on-site power generation. The campus is 100% long-term leased to a Fortune 100 hyperscaler tenant and financed through construction loans arranged by JPMorgan Chase.
